Mama Sierra Caturra Washed

This is your answer to a daily coffee that's good on price, giving a dependable flavour profile, and enjoyable every day without being too much. Mama Sierra, led by Sirley Pulgarin of The Coffee Quest Colombia, is a remarkable project empowering women coffee farmers in the community of Giraldo, Antioquia. With 15 motivated members, the project began in March 2021, initiated by Yessica Parra and later taken forward by Sirley. The goal has always been to break barriers limiting women’s access to resources and training in coffee production. 

This lot is a Caturra with a classic washed process from Antioquia, specifically the town of Giraldo. Here at almost 2000m above sea level the Caturra grows particularly well, and when treated with a simple washed process and dried on raised beds, there is that classic Washed Colombian profile we're after.

You can expect a Nutty, Fruity, and Chocolatey profile with great sweetness and a clean mouthfeel from this lot, thriving both in espresso and in filter.
